- Meal containers and boxes can be directly recycled alongside plastic/carton products. You can recycle the cardboard meal sleeve and the cardboard delivery box with other paper products.
- Insulation, our thermal liners are made out of 86% recycled content, the makeup is post-consumer water/soda bottles. We invite you to recycle your liners in the same bin that they would place there plastic water/soda bottles.
- Reusable insulated bags We offer to pick up your insulated, reusable CookUnity bag to reduce waste. You can also have the option to hang onto it and reuse it as you wish:) Each week, our team will pick up your old bag and leave you a brand new one with your meals. Please leave the bag at the front desk or front door, and our delivery person will take care of the rest.
- Gel packs: Once the gel packs are fully thawed, you should dispose of the non-toxic contents in the garbage and then recycle the plastic bag. Even though the gel inside is water-soluble, we don’t recommend pouring it down the drain in case of temporary clogs. (Another option is to reuse or donate your gel packs. They’re great for camping and road trips.)
